The Vision of Ready for Golf is simple. We want to put the RFG logo on courses around the world.
We want them in “hometowns” and in “BIG” cities. We want men, women and kids to fall in love
with playing golf again, or for the first time, BECAUSE of an RFG course. We want people to
plan business trips and vacations by looking on the RFG website to see if there is an RFG course
is at their hotel, resort, or near their meeting location. Now, “Why” do we think this is
possible? Because we think we know the “Average” golfer.
The next question you should ask is, “What do we mean by the “Average” golfer?” In 2006 The National
Golf Foundation (NGF) reported that about 12 million players played on a regular basis (8 or more
times a year). More than 15 million “Occasional” players play less times per year. The there are
another 14 Million “Participants”, which means that they don’t play often – or maybe – not wanting
a Handicap that can be tracked. So our target market is the 29 Million plus golfers would like to
play more and don’t. The demographics are as follows.
First is the “Seniors and Casual Male golfers”. As America and the world gets older, this group of
players is most attractive from a growth standpoint. They know the game and were at one time the
backbone of our industry, yet they have exited the game as active players. Next, and perhaps most
important segment of our “Average” golfer is Women. They are one of the fastest growing segments
of active golfers in the golf industry. Our first major partnership came from choosing our Lead
Golf Course Designer. Sally Little is a world-renowned member of the Ladies Professional Golf
Association (LPGA), Founding member of the women’s senior golf tour (The Legends Tour), and
international champion of 16 Professional and 9 Amateur titles. We are also proud of our other
partner, the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) uses golf as
a networking tool for women of all walks of life.
Now take a look at the
CLUBHOUSE IMAGES
page. These are pictures of actual domed buildings, which would be our recommended structure in
Florida and other high-wind zone areas. To take advantage of the central location of the Clubhouse,
we suggest adding a “lookout” at the top. Can imagine how the Course Director in a Lookout Tower
can watch every hole on the course in order to start or manage play, as well as direct any emergency situations.
