Ready For Golf, Inc. announces that Sally Little, world-renowned member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association, Founding member of the Women's Senior Golf Tour and international champion has agreed to become their Lead Golf Course Designer. "As a young woman I was taught the mechanics and strategy of playing golf, but more importantly, the history, our role as players and golf's great traditions. I will always play the game of golf and my partnership with Ready For Golf will allow me to honor those traditions. We will bring golf back to the cities and create courses much like the course I started on."
An International winner of 16 Professional and 9 Amateur titles, her stretch in the late 70's and early 80's of four straight years with at least 2 wins a year included 2 major championship wins, one of which was the LPGA Championship in 1980. |
Sally Little was born in Cape Town, South Africa. She began her golf career at age 14, playing and practicing at the Metropolitan Golf Club (image below), under the guidance of her father, Percy Little. Sally's game matured quickly and at age 17, had already enjoyed a successful amateur career. In 1971, she moved to the United States and became a member of the LPGA, starting her professional career. Sally became a United States citizen in 1982. |
